The Janiestrong Foundation donates to Book Vending Machine

A dear college friend of Janie's, Jen Grover, is the principal at Vega Collegiate Academy in Aurora, CO. Vega Collegiate Academy with founded with the firm beliefs that demographics do not determine destiny, college is the access point to opportunity and character and leadership must be taught. It is a K-8 public charter school with the highest Asian population in the state of Colorado. Many of the students come from immigrant or refugee families. 87% of this year's students are multilingual learners. Approximately 97% are eligible for free and reduced lunch. To earn a token for a book, students are nominated by a staff member for exhibiting the school's core values which are belonging, generosity, mastery and independence. We are thrilled to help stock the book vending machine at Vega Collegiate Academy.
