The Janiestrong Foundation was an extraordinary sponsor for Candlelighters Annual Everyday Extraordinary Breakfast held on February 29, 2024 at Dollar Loan Center. Community honorees, Heroes in Action, Rising Stars, Community Kindness Recipients, and Family Honorees were recognized in this beautiful celebration of light, love and leap. It was a morning of celebration and inspiration, showcasing the stories of children and families affected by childhood cancer and honoring community partners.

We were able to purchase Christmas gifts for a single mother and her 6 year-old son for the holidays. The family lost their 8 year old son and brother earlier in the year to cancer. Christmas is the pinnacle holiday of the year. More than any other celebration, it is the day for family and friends, kindness and generosity. It is the day for love. Whether we celebrate Christmas or a different significant holiday at another time of the year, we feel the losses that are the counterpoint to our love. Janie received her bone marrow transplant at Banner Hospital in Tucson, AZ on November 17, 2017. Her oldest brother, Jansen, was her stem cell donor. In honor of her transplant birthday month, we sent Amazon gift cards for the patients to decorate their hospital rooms.

Every Halloween, Candlelighters put on an amazing Halloween Bash for their families. It was held this year at Allegiant Stadium. The Janiestrong Foundation sponsored a trunk for trick or treating. The Patonai Family decorated for the event and what a great job they did. A fun time was had by all.

This is a fun-filled family event that brings the community together in support of local families battling childhood cancer. This event was held on September 16th where the community joined forces and superpowers to help those in need. The Janiestrong Foundation was honored to donate in support of all families served by Candlelighters.
