Venturing out into the world, we look for the good in everyone we meet so we may connect our personal stories of love and loss to the stories of everyone in humanity. Open and nonjudgemental ways of interrelating with others acknowledges our shared humanity. Friendship Books for Marion Earl Library

Janie, along with her two older brothers, attended Marion Earl Elementary from kindergarten to fifth grade. The school honored her with a beautiful friendship wall as she was a friend to many. We know that friendship brings you up when you're down, inspires you when you're in a rut and friends offer you more than support; they provide an opportunity to give as well as to receive. Reading Week in Janie's Classroom

The week of February 27, 2023 is Reading Week in Janie's Classroom. The theme is One World, Many Stories. Students are invited to travel around the world for Nevada Reading Week. There are books, activities and prizes to share from six continents. Your generosity allowed us to collaborate with Cure 4 The Kids to provide the prizes and treats for the various continents. Students can earn points for completing a variety of activities for their Passport Around the World.  A fun week was shared by all.

Cancer Kids First Nevada

We aim to improve the lives of kids who are battling cancer by sending them cards, toys, books, and personalized gift packages through our wish package program. ” — Beverly Wang, Founder and President of Cancer Kids First Nevada Meet High School Junior Beverly Wang! She is the daughter of a three-time cancer survivor and a finalist for the 2022 Governor's Points of Light Award for Individual Youth Volunteer. Christmas 2022

Christmas is the pinnacle of the year. More than any other celebration, it is the day for family and friends, kindness and generosity. It is the day for love. On this day, we remember all our loves and we are grateful. We sponsored a family through Candlelighters for Christmas. This particular family lost their son in June 2022 to a brain tumor.
